Getting an account

A Merryl account is created in the app: not on the web, and not from ChatGPT.

Merryl is in a closed test: sign-ups are not open yet. If you already have an account, connect ChatGPT with its address.

Connecting ChatGPT

1. In ChatGPT, add the Merryl app (during the closed test, the team tells you how).
2. A Merryl page opens: type your account's e-mail address, then the 6-digit code you receive by e-mail. If your account has a password, you can also choose “With my password”.
3. Choose “Allow”: ChatGPT can then add recipes to your notebook.
4. Ask, for instance: “Write me a tarte Tatin for 6 and save it in Merryl.” The recipe lands in your notebook, privately, marked “Added from ChatGPT”.

After 90 days without using it, you connect your account again the same way.

What ChatGPT can do

• Add recipes to your notebook, privately.
• Add a picture to a recipe that has none: an image it created, or one you gave it.
• It does not read your notebook, and changes or deletes nothing else.

Didn't get a code?

Look in your spam folder. The code only arrives if the address has a Merryl account, and it works for 10 minutes. Only the last code received works. After 5 codes in an hour, you have to wait.

The recipe's link does not open?

A recipe saved from ChatGPT is private: its link opens in the app, on your phone.

Disconnecting ChatGPT

ChatGPT loses access straight away. The recipes already saved stay in your notebook.

The “Connected apps” line only shows when an app is connected.

Exporting your data

The link to a ZIP archive arrives by e-mail, and in the app. It holds your account's data and your photos, and can be downloaded for 7 days.

If your last export is less than 24 hours old, that is the one you download.

Deleting your account

In the app: ProfileAccount and settingsSettingsDelete my account

Then choose “Get the confirmation link”. Tap the link you receive by e-mail: it works for 1 hour, once. On the page that opens, choose “Delete for good”.

Your account is erased within 72 hours, with your recipes, your photos, your week and your lists. ChatGPT loses access too.

• Export your data first if you want to keep it.
• If you have a subscription, deleting your account does not cancel it: cancel it in Google Play.

You no longer have the app?

Ask for your account to be deleted on the web: Delete my account.

Reporting content or a member

In the app, on a recipe, a dish, a comment, a review or a profile: “Report”. We look at every report, and the person reported does not know who reported them.

You can also block a member from their profile: you no longer see what they post, and you can no longer interact. They are not told.

Without an account, or for illegal content seen on a Merryl web page: write to support@merryl.app with the page's link, what the problem is and why, your name and your e-mail address.
